Spiritual Self Care and your Inner Wink Passion.
by The WizardStar

We all hear about the person whom is kind, loving, assisting others, they do  just  about everything, from cook, to sew, to landscaping and without doubt,  are viewed by others as  the cornerstone of society.  The dependable soul down the street, the one whom pays it forward, bakes cookies the new family who just moved in, brings soups to the elderly neighbor, holds the baby showers, decorates the homemade birthday cake, makes the lunches and then off to a full time career.

You will find them in the ice rink, cheering on a son or  daughters hockey game only to go  home, clean the house, wash  the dog, iron uniforms, do the shopping,  get the  library  books back, then home to make dinner, then a few more chores!  Point is, where do you  fit in? If this makes you cringe, and you’re nodding your head, hmmm sounds like me, then take account of what is!  Don't  get me wrong, it's wonderful to help others, but you have to keep it in check that you  are  the only you, and you are  the first priority.

Are you the over doer, the people pleaser the one that the world seems to depend on?  Stop! Yes, we all like acknowledgment, but not at the expense of yourself.  Take stock of, why you have to be the over achiever firstly.  Secondly, please ask yourself, whom is it that is doing for you?  Does anyone in the family, do something for you?  Probably not, reason why, is that they automatically know, you will do it, due to the way you have conditioned this process.  Are you doing for you?

Before you grab another grocery list ask yourself this... stop the clock and do a self check here. What can I do for myself that makes me happy?  What is it that is on my self care" inner wink" list? After all, happiness does come within the confines of your own heart; it’s not really others that are going to give you inner happiness.  What have I done for myself  as of recent, that makes me feel great?  While it’s nice being the "outer wink"/caregiver to family,  and society and   attending to the needs of others, nurturing them, start to nurture "You".  Self care is vital you must, spiritually and emotionally love yourself first, and do for you, that mean taking care of the inner you.  Setting aside the time.  Sometimes we are  indeed a  sandwich  generation, and for some, we are  responsible for  caring for the kids, and  elder care.  You  have to ensure, sleep hygiene , eating well, keeping your  temple  healthy in this process. Yes, its  a work life balance and a "spiritual self care balance"

Too many souls are off running out saving the day and the world,   the family and some one else's too, as they are the care givers, over doers, over achievers, need for perfection. Stop it, you’re worrying far too much and your energy will indeed get off balance. So do an about face and start attending to some of your inner needs, just as you would tend to your spiritual garden of hope or well planted calla lily’s and morning glory’s. You need to tend your  garden of life  and plant  the seeds so that   they too  shall  blossom into  a nice  bumper  crop  and then  the full crop  later  on that  you  can bask in ..

Start with your own authentic passions, be it going back to college, taking an online course, obtaining some spiritual books, or crafts. Get proactive, build or paint something, put on your music, write, journal, or have fun making a Dream come true board, with all your wishes and hopes on it. Taking courses, even jewelry making or a one day seminar! How about getting involved in the arts, with clay and pottery and putting your creativity level into full throttle.  How  about  yoga, swimming or Pilates. What  makes  you  passionate about  your life?

What is it that you wish to do, that is your calling, your "inner wink", get in touch with this part of yourself. Learn to have fun, and play in the sandbox of life again.  One  must  champion  the calling they have within, use  it  welcome  this  newness, perhaps your in a  career that you  dislike, (mom and dad wanted you  to be  A ..... )?    Well that may have been their hope and dream, but your "inner wink" of passion of your own authentic values of what you are meant to do, is sitting right under your hat.

You are drawn to  something, it feels  right, you fear it but you take the risk, and  move career paths, or  you  take time out and  actually go on a  small retreat, even two days  away, can change your perspective, and  help you  get in touch with the inner  you.  If we  don't take risk  we don't  grow, and be our best.  If  we  fear, then  that  equates to self doubt, don't doubt your path or  your heart, let go, and  live  walk your passion and path the way your  are  meant  to  and don't hold back.

Sometimes all we need is a prompt, so I am here to give you one. I hope that I have provoked some positive thoughts for you, to enable you to be more proactive.
To sum it up.

1. Stop doing so much for others that you neglect yourself.
2. Affirm that you do deserve happiness, love, and to work in your passion.
3. Affirm inside, that you a spontaneous human being, made in the divine, and deserve to work in the best career ever, one that you choose, the one that is calling you.
4. Get away, take time for you, and ensure you do it.   I reiterate, (ensure you do it)!
5. Get into your books, study, learn craft, do art, take yoga, journal, write from your heart, listen to  music, meditate, get a massage.
6.  Something that is wonderful to do, is taking a  look at  all that  mother nature has  given us  for  free to see  feel touch, walk on  and have kid like fun, take photos of all that  mother nature shows us, as nature  does  speak to the inner you. Or what about getting a pet, even a nice calm fish to watch, or building a spiritual garden filled with all your   delights, claim it, love it, but most of all have fun with it.
7. Time to get in touch with what resonates with you, what is your calling? Your inner passion? Sit and journal, write it out, what are your dreams?

Please remember, self care, and your "inner wink", to look after your body, your temple, your mind, soul, spirit and attitude, is paramount.  You are very special, made in perfection, and you deserve to have it all, in being the best person you can be.  May you have a Blessed Day

Want Spiritual Enlightenment? Don’t Quit Your Day Job!
by Psychic Rhiannon

Want spiritual enlightenment but you’re stuck in the office? In today’s economy there’s no doubt that the common methods of spiritual enlightenment are just not practical anymore. You’ve heard the story before, some lawyer, or university professor, or scientist, suddenly has a life altering moment, and they run from their job, their family, their life in essence, and reach towards the spiritual epiphany, or in retrospect, mid life crisis they’re having. The story ends with them finding some tried and tested way to discover spiritual enlightenment. Sometimes these folks become spiritual leaders, others start working on get rich quick schemes on the internet and others yet are living the good life doing other types of lucrative work that is apparently less stressful, and therefore more spiritually rewarding.

The true reality is that there’s no reason to give up your research, your practice, your students or your life to find the same spiritual enlightenment that the more radical and reckless have found out there. Spiritual enlightenment is about a personal inner journey that is going to put any person through the wringer; it’ll make anyone want to run screaming from the office to some tropical island where they can have a vision in their margarita. While yes, a lot of people need to take the journey to spiritual enlightenment, I don’t believe they need to go quitting their job and running away from the life they’ve already built in order to do it.

Change is needed, and the kind of change that is needed in the world right now is one that spiritual enlightenment can offer. A person who is more in tune with themselves, their wants, their desires, their dreams and goals, will also be more in tune with the people around them. The world needs a shift in focus from the importance of the individual, to the importance of the whole.

Spiritual enlightenment can change the way you see the world, and in turn, change the way you work, which in time will grow and spread to others via the ripple effect. It only takes one person with a vision to change the world, and if you withdraw from the world, it becomes harder to help the world. Sure, for the first little while you’ll be dealing with your own ignored personal issues, but once you’ve come full circle, you’ll be in the position to help others around you.

Spiritual enlightenment is only good if you know how to apply it to the world around you. Don’t quit your day job and start some spiritual enlightenment foundation, because this world needs enlightened lawyers, doctors, professors, psychologists, CEO’s and scientists too. We need people who have taken the proverbial leap to change who they are on the inside so that the world around them can also start to change.

And guess what? You don’t need a four day fast in the middle of the wilderness begging for a vision; it doesn’t require a pilgrimage to Stonehenge, it doesn’t require an initiation ritual to a secret coven, and it doesn’t even require years of study and practice in meditation, though some of these can aid in the journey if taken with a practical approach. All it really takes to achieve spiritual enlightenment is the willingness to ask yourself the questions, and to dig deep within yourself for the answers you know are there. Below are the questions and the basic technique to delve into them. How you proceed to finding your spiritual enlightenment from here on out is up to you, but I hope you find it.

Meditation Technique:
1) Find a space where you can be alone, either at home or at the office, sit down in that place however you feel comfortable.
2) Concentrate on your breathing and with each breath, let go of the stress of your day.
3) Enter into a relaxed state (you should feel slightly tired, may feel tingling in your body, may feel like you’re in a daze)
4) Ask yourself one of the questions on the list three times.
5) Answer yourself honestly.

The Questions:
Am I truly happy with my life?
What kind of person am I?
How do others see me?
What kind of person do I want to be?
What changes can I make in my life to make me happier?
